Hi, I’m Reanna Emanouel (R. Eman), a self-taught visual artist based in Brisbane, Australia.
I create from a humble garage studio, spending countless hours transforming ideas, emotions, and experiences into art. Art gave me purpose, strength, and a voice when words were not enough.
Through painting and mixed media, I explore memory, identity, resilience, healing, and our connection to the natural world. My work blends realism with dreamlike and symbolic elements, creating spaces where personal stories become universal experiences.
As a neurodivergent artist living with dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD, creativity is how I understand and communicate with the world. The challenges I’ve faced have shaped my perspective, strengthened my resilience, and fuelled my determination to create meaningful work.
I don’t create because it is easy or profitable—I create because it is essential to who I am.
