Hi, I'm Jez, and I'm part of the Safeguarding Research & Culture team.

As well as volunteering my time for organisation & development, I also run a storage node at home, which is great! It has ongoing costs though: investing in additional storage, plus electricity and internet costs. If you want to help the data rescue effort and don't have the expertise or capacity to host your own storage node for at-risk datasets, you can help me by making a small monthly contribution towards these costs.

Safeguarding Research & Culture (SRC) is creating an alternative infrastructure for archiving and disseminating of cultural heritage and scientific knowledge. We seek to preserve cultural memory in a way that traditional archives cannot. Together, we can ensure that our cultural, intellectual and scientific heritage exists in multiple copies, in multiple places, and that no single entity or group of entities can make it all disappear.
