I build free WordPress tools – and, longer-term, commercial products around them.

In short: Every contribution buys back time that would otherwise go into client work – time I can put into new tools instead.

I'm Helmut, a web developer from Vienna, and I've been in the field for over 25 years. Right now I make my living from individual client projects and consistently get very good feedback for them. But what I really want to work on are my own WordPress tools.

Some already exist for free: plugins like Advanced Settings 3 and Peak Publisher, small CSS tools, open-source libraries, and the platform WPDirStats.com. Free tools are a core part of how I work in this space – they stay free to use, and many more are on the way.

The problem: every client project I have to take on for financial reasons costs time I'm missing for this work. If my tools are useful to you and you'd like to see more of them, your support helps with exactly that – more time to build them out, instead of squeezing it in between projects.

Down the line, paid tools will come alongside the free ones. But the free ones stay part of the whole.
