I am an open-source software maintainer and developer based in Europe.

My main focus is Back In Time and Hyperorg, alongside contributions to other free and open-source projects. Another personal project close to my heart is Feedybus, an RSS/Atom newsreader. And there is also spdx2dep.

Back In Time is a mature backup application with unique features and a long history. I am the current maintainer and lead developer (third generation), managing updates, bug fixes, new features, and improvements to maintainability and accessibility for new contributors.

Hyperorg is a niche project. I am its sole maintainer and initial developer. It serves users who manage their Zettelkasten in Emacs Org mode and want a simple, low-friction way to convert and use it in HTML.

Donations go to me as a person, not to a specific project, though much of the support directly benefits these projects. I report transparently on goals, received donations, and how funds are used.

Support helps cover infrastructure, hardware replacements, email services, a portion of personal living expenses, and of course coffee and chocolate. I also use part of donations to personally support other contributors as a sign of appreciation, and to fund projects or organizations my work depends on, such as Codeberg, Debian, GNU Emacs, Liberapay, and others.

For me, donations are also a form of recognition. They show that my work is seen, useful, and has real impact, which motivates me to continue maintaining and improving open-source projects.
