As a photographer in the community, it gives me great joy to attend events and capture moments. Many of these events have limited budgets and cannot afford to pay photographers, but invite them to attend and shoot, giving the community a chance to receive professional photos. Capturing these moments comes at an expense to the photographer in the form of purchase and wear & tear of expensive gear, time, and labor, especially in the editing process. Rather than requiring payment for the photos of these events, which I see as an inappropriate "hostage situation," I ask that you donate an amount appropriate to your own budget. The suggested donation is between $3 and $10 per image depending on your means. These are tough times, and if you cannot afford to give any donation, please accept these photos as my gift to you without receiving any donations.
