I currently develop extensions for the Roon music player system to integrate with Logitech Harmony. Other related projects I have in mind may extend that to provide device based UI control (Raspberry PI with touch screen for example), Amazon Alexa, Google Home etc. I have long also wanted to create a Raspberry PI based dashboard for home device control (To include lighting such as Philip Hue for example), heating, interior and exterior security, Ring doorbells and cameras and SmartThings devices for example). The current projects for Roon are a start along that journey really because Roon is such an excellent music system and that Roon Labs have create a great SDK for it. The next steps along that journey will be adding some kind of UI to extend what is possible with a Harmony remote and Roon.

While I do not ask for funds, a number of people have asked me how they could donate. My initial thought was not to accept any donations, however it does occur to me that donations may make it make practical too support hardware devices that I would not otherwise support. Currently I only develop and test my software with hardware that I directly find useful enough to purchase for use, though that said, I have a second Raspberry PI and other computer related hardware, purely to support open source development testing as well as paid for accounts on GitHub, Amazon, Azure and elsewhere and thus the reality is I do this at a loss.

I hope people continue to enjoy my projects and find them useful. If you wish to donate to support the costs of ongoing development, then such donations will be very gratefully received and I hope may help take us along paths I might not otherwise be able to consider.
