Systems are broken, and the world is literally burning. It’s easy to feel hopeless and powerless against it all. But we can’t give up, we have to try. That’s what we’re doing at Green Rainbow. Starting where we’re at, and working with what we have to take steps, however small, towards a better world.

With these small steps, we are creating pockets of life, resistance, and light in a world that seems to be getting darker by the day. We envision a world where people and nature work together in harmony towards a happier and healthier life for all creatures. That world can’t happen without a lot of work, and it isn’t going to exist tomorrow… but we can start building it together today.

What is Green Rainbow? Green Rainbow World is three Collectives that function independently while supporting each other.

Community Art Collective: Above all, we strive to encourage everyone to express or create in some way. We love turning trash into sculptures or “canvas”. Eco Collective: Our primary project is the Strefi Garden Experiment, a community permaculture garden in Athens. Freelancer Collective: Supporting marginalized workers and providing technical support for the other collectives.

Funding will help us continue work in the garden, create community art projects, and purchase supplies and equipment. If we can reach 500 Euros a month in donations, we will be able to open a Community Art Studio and Plastic Recycling Space. This space would provide free access to space and equipment for local artists and create useful items for refugees and low-income people in our community.
