This page helps support the ongoing development of Open-BFME, a community-driven effort to reverse engineer, preserve, and improve the Battle for Middle-earth engine and related tooling. Contributions are used toward practical development expenses such as AI coding subscriptions and credits, compute, testing infrastructure, development tools, and other costs that help accelerate the project.
Supporting this page does not purchase access to Open-BFME, exclusive features, copyrighted game assets, or any rights to EA or The Lord of the Rings intellectual property. Open-BFME remains freely available and open source. This is independent community support for development expenses and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Electronic Arts or the relevant rights holders.
