About Me

Teaching: I've worked as an educator for over 20 years teaching and tutoring math and computer science in colleges and universities. Covid and life circumstances forced me to take a break from working. I am trying to get back on my feet through online teaching and tutoring, focusing on the ethical and effective use of generative artificial intelligence in software development and writing. I am available for one-on-one tutoring locally in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, as well as virtually anywhere. Spirituality: I am also pursuing ministry with the United Church of Christ and working towards becoming a Religious Science practitioner with the Centers for Spiritual Living. I am available for pulpit supply.

Writing: I have been slowly writing several books. I expect to finish two of them within the next few months. The focus of my writings is primarily personal self-development. I am also working on a short book about incorporating generative AI in teaching introductory computer science, outlining the philosophy of the course I'm teaching next month.

Sewing: I've been known to make various things out of fabric and thread. I've made costumes, dresses, and cloth wallets. Now I'm working on making custom stoles for ministers.

Why?

It took me a while to find my confidence again and start recording videos and putting myself out there again. It took me a while to get myself into a position where I could work again. Now that I'm here, savings are running out, and I'm doing the best hussle-and-grind I can do to make sure I keep a roof over my head and food in the larder.
